Okay, my guess is papillon x foxy x jrt!

I've seen a few papillon x'es come through rescue, yes the pure breds are rare, but the crosses are not unusual - especially in Sydney!

I was wondering something... how can people determine rescue crosses? I mean, they can be mixes of mixes of mixes we really can't know. Why narrow it down to 2 or three breeds when they can be anything. Unless they come from BYBs or designer breeders that cross two breeds on purpose for the sake of selling it better. It's perhaps better to say that dog looks like or his type is like such and such breed rather than fooling people with choosing 2-3 breeds.

Yes it's hard, and the group I used to be involved with did say that it was a guesstimate as to breed, age etc. Some of the dogs that came in were obvious in terms of breed, but then the bitsas, well, that was harder. We made it very clear that we were making a best guess with all the dogs, and even if we had what was obviously a pure we always called it a cross because we had no way of proving it was a pure.

    Thanks guys
yeah i reckon at least a little pap in him.
A vet near here does breed identification tests which sound interesting.. they say its 95% accurate. Anyone had any experience with these?
    Just so curious! haha.

From what I've read on the net (yeah I believe anything if it's on the net lol), those breed ID tests aren't worth the paper they are written on. Sorry don't have any links, but try a google search - I think they are quite expensive too.

Forgot to say previously that you have one adorable little doggy there!

My guess is he could have some papillon, some JRT, but he could even have some chihuhua in him.

    Who knows. He's cute.
