Freeevale DO have some nice dogs - but way too overexposed atm for my liking. When I was researching after Cappy died - part of the grieving process for me - La Guardia was in my top 10 - I loved Fanto - nfi what has happened to him though.

Back to topic OP, are you looking for a young puppy to start with from scratch, or what? I know of two young dogs (both males) in Brisbane currently needing new forever homes. They are approx 8-9 months old. Nice looking boys.
Would you like me to PM you their details and you can give the breeder a ring and have a chat. They are very responsible ppl IMO. If they feel their boys aren't suitable for you, they could very well guide you to another breeder who does have a suitable dog for you at present.

I have been considering all the questions I have been asked (All appreciated btw).
I believe I am making the right decision. There are a few things I need to get in order before I bring home our next K9 Family member.
Like a big dog bed etc. I will need to possibly get higher fences as we only have 4 foot QLD style fences at the moment, what do you think, will I need to get 5/6 foot fences?
We are looking at pet insurance, Who thinks that is the way to go?

Thanks for your help so far.

The hardest thing to decide on now is to go for a Bitch or a Dog.
(almost went with La Guardia but cant decide on male/female or when)

Will PM you details, you can look into each breeder at your leasuire, contact them, discuss and see who you feel most comfortable meeting/dealing with. Know of Old Style breeders in both Vic and NSW, but as I said, not Qld.

You keep saying you want a healthy dog? What exactly do you mean by that?
GSDs come in a myriad of different colours. I assume you are wanting the most common black and tan/black and gold?

Lots of puppies around OZ ATM.

when I say healthy I mean with quality hips, eyes, heart, elbows, temperament etc,
I am looking for a companion of at least 10 to 16 years if not better.
as for colour I quite like Black and Gold now I have decided.
