Hmm, I wonder what Logan's been trained to do? Probably very little as a show-dog. Sigh.

Yep, I think so. Mind you, in the past week I have worked very hard around the yard. Kept me busy, but also because in the six weeks Inca was with us we didn't do anything! A dog doesn't care if the trees need pruning or the gardens need weeding, or the...you get the point. I'm exhausted. Once Logan arrives, I'll probably do very little around here for a fair while. LOL.

It will be interesting to see how she reacts to the basic obedience commands.

Well apparently she knows how to sit, drop, stand. But I won't know if that is correct until I test her and see what she CAN do so far. I never believe everything they tell me. *wink*

The "stand" command & the dog's response can be a bit different/challenging for ex show dogs I understand. I hope she heels like Inca did. Her heeling was a real gift by the sounds of things.

I doubt strongly that she will know how to heel at all. She will most probably simply know how to run out on lead. Sigh. Inca's heeling was indeed a gift that just came naturally. I know some of the other puppies were not doing doing it naturally like she was.

Yeh, all that "specialty" showing stuff. I just don't understand it. Showing just isn't for me because one week your dog is soaring with the eagles, the next week, a feather duster.

A beautiful heeling dog in Obedience is the beginning of a fantastic partnership. Don't know why I think Loren is going to be fantastic. A gut feeling I suppose. Oh well, we'll see what she's like when she arrives.
