Well done DA, I think it is wonderful that another dog has found you. I hope she is what your heart and family need right now to help you through this time, and that she becomes a wonderful family member.

She is actually my favourite colour Angela, black and gold. My 2nd fav is sable. She is not a large bitch, and apparently she still behaves like she is all puppy. Lol.

I think she will keep us busy indeed.
    That makes perfect sense!

I do like the black and golds, there are a few exceptions where I prefer B&G to a sable, but for the most part Blacks are my top fave followed by sable.

I bet you can't wait for her to arrive now!

TBH I think the time-frame between now and when she arrives is a great factor. It helps us get things into perspective, so to speak. She will arrive and we will be emotionally ready and excited to meet HER, rather than meeting her now with such strong feelings still residing about Inca. Well, it makes sense to me, anyway. Lol.

I've just tuned it. Oh good news.

When, why and all that stuff is your own business. Each to their own I say.

But my selfish Dog Showing/Breeding side of me says good on you for taking an unsuccessful show dog. Some people don't realise how important finding homes is for these dogs. It allows us space to continue to breed the best we can.

And on the most part I think they make wonderful pets that relish the opportunity to go to a home where they will be lavished with attention.

    Good post MAC, as always.

I understand your comment re unsuccessful show dogs. I think this young female is at an age where she will settle in well. She has only just turned 17 months. Out of that litter, she was the one dog the breeder felt was an outstanding specimen, so she went to a show home in co-ownership. It is a shame for them about the soft ears, but I am pleased to see the breeder is doing the right thing and de-sexing her and moving her on as a companion dog.

I'm trying Occy! Still finding everything here slow. Have saved the pictures in my folders and now can't locate them so gotta do it all again. Sigh. I'm not the most computer literate person either. (Understatement of the year!)

Great news DA! She will be so loved in your family! I so love to read a "good news" thread! Can't wait to see her pictures! So what is she to be named?
Best wishes to all your family DA.

Okay here's some photos I was sent.

The first two of her show her soft ears at their worst IMO. I have 2 others which I'm having trouble putting on. Different files or something?

The last two shots are of her sire and dam.

For ethical reasons I have erased out the people with her in the background, as to my understanding these are personal photos taken at home.

Bo, her name is the same as my son's middle name. As we sometimes call my son by his middle name (because he likes it so much) this is going to be interesting?! Lol.
