    Masha, it depends on the breed and the individual dog. Most dogs have certainly come into season before 12 months though!

    That is true we do have a 6-7 foot fence but someone said dogs can jump them.

    This is what you need to do:

    DON'T PANIC!

    Don't leave her unsupervised in the backyard
    Don't walk her right outside your house...go somewhere neutral!
    Do not let dogs near her...pick her up if some dogs get near you!

    She will bleed for about 9-11 days and will then be "ready" for about 5 days. The discharge will change to clear discharge...not blood anymore. Her girly bits will become quite swollen...this is normal and her teats will probably become bigger too.

    Thankyou guys all for the awesome advice I will make sure she is safe. I am so glad I came and looked at the commosion about trolling because I don't know if I would have ended up coming and asking if I hadn't been drawn here.
