Thanks Natty. I DID smell a horse one in the pet shop a few weeks back. It was a very big bottle (1 litre) and I spilt it on myself. Would be my luck. Sigh.

But did you have a clean spot?? That would be the real test...

Never thought of that. Too embarrassed to look. The bottle looked interesting though. I'm trying to think of the name of it. Something gloss I vaguely recall?

I use johnson and johnson baby shampoo on my dog.

Turns out one of the dog walkers at my afternoon park - is a dog washer - though at the moment he's not interested in clipping, so his clientelle will be a little bit limited, cos some only get their dogs washed when they get clipped - around once a month. But some people get their dogs washed every two weeks. He uses some sort of special herbal shampoo for dogs. He says that the hydro bath - ie water jets work better at cleaninng all the old skin debris off a dog than ordinary hose or shower head or bucket and scoop and finger massage (my method).

Not sure if I agree with him. Frosty just doesn't get all that smelly unless she decides to cool off in the sewer. Bonus of using my shampoo on her - is she gets to smell like me for a while. I think she likes that.

I would suggest Fidos herbal rinse and then their dry spray for time in between. (plus any of their washes), It last a good time on leos short coat, and lasted a good while on long hair german shepard we had before.

If you could check to see if they sell allergroom, that would be great. One of the shops here sells Aloveen, but alas, no Allergroom. Please let me know. And thank you very much. It is appreciated.

Have you tried any of the doggy colognes? I saw a cheap one this morning in the discount shop, it comes in a few fragrances. Floral, apple, tea tree and lavender. The lady in the shop must think I'm a nutter cos I wrote down the info off the label.
