I'm happy to just post them here for you and everyone else

I don't really like either one, to be honest, but with VS I haven't found anything even close to as bad as what I've found about CM. That speaks volumes to me.

The bolded part worries me the most TBH. For the same reasons as I would NEVER send Batty (or any other dog) away to be trained or to do physio (dog forbid) or anything else. Fair enough for the rescues before they are re-homed, but for a dog that has problems that need to be addressed I believe that this should happen in their own home.

I think there are other ways to educate people that there are ways to address issues without putting their dog to sleep.

I do not believe everything in the news, although I am including the news article links here too. My opinion is formed from reading his books (cover to cover crap IMO), seeing these clips and others on YouTube and general searching. Literally for everything good posted about him there are two or more things posted that are bad. For me there's just too much stacked against him to make support seem in any way logical. I have seen MWDH's have to hang up their dogs before and it was no-where near as bad as what Cesar has done to the husky in one of the links I have given. MWDH's have far more training and are allocated to a senior MWDH when they are first posted to ensure that they are doing things correctly, it was bad but it wasn't horrifying.

Just to add fuel to the fire there are reports of him dragging a scared St Bernard up a set of stairs by a choke chain, the video is the Nat Geo one down below.

Links for you: Warning some may be distressing and some are from Cesar followers - which he encourages too.

If you want! The ones I'd recommend first are the youtube videos and the National Geographic link. A picture speaks a thousand words.

I agree with you on both the choke chains and the e-collar. I also think the prong is an incredibly useful training tool when used correctly. I've watched only the episodes that have been online and I have read through a lot of his methods. I've read all of his books too. I think he should be out of the business permanently. Great he can run his own dogs and great that he can rehabilitate dogs that would otherwise have had no choice but to be pts. There are better ways to advertise his business than starting a tv show causing uneducated people to test his methods because he states the way he does things will work on every dog.

The PDF you have put here was given to us too at puppy training. Now...this trainer is a Delta Society trainer and in my opinion...they are complete looney toons. I will NEVER let another Delta Trainer touch my dogs again!

Sorry...but reward good behaviour and ignore bad behaviour doesn't cut it in the real world!

I agree with you there too - works with some but not with all, can tell you know does not work AT ALL with Batty

I agree in part with the Delta Trainers - I think they have their place for the dogs that those methods do work for IYKWIM.

I do believe there needs to be Leadership, but I also think people are way too quick to jump on the 'dominance' and 'alpha' band wagons

ETA: Yes I hold that pdf in high esteem BUT I believe that those method should be the basis, if the dog needs more to be effectively trained then I think corrections should be brought in. I don't believe in treating EVERY dog as though it is a so called Alpha wanna be.

This I think is the main reason I prefer Victoria over Cesar. I admit I haven't watched alot of his shows (dont have pay TV and I dont really like his accent ) but the ones I have seen deal with some pretty extream cases.
Although having said that I've seen Victoria do some dumb things, I watched an episod last week where she let a terrier with very little recall off lead in a forrist, it took off and took them over an hour to find it.
