I heard the news the other day and am devastated for Fran.

I've known Fran for over twenty years and all my Newfies have been Planhaven dogs, two of which are still with me.

I sincerely hope she can recover from this and get back on her feet.

It's a tragedy for her and also for the Newfoundland community in this country

RIP the two souls who lost their lives, fly free over the bridge to all the other angel dogs waiting for you

    for you DA

Thanks for your lovely post Peipod. Hugs back to you.
(I had a feeling you may know her.)
I hope her establishment recovers as quickly as possible, and this tragedyy can be put behind her. So many Newfies all stem from the lovely Planhaven lines, and from what I have gathered in my very short time with the breed she is highly respected and dearly thought of by all.

That is dreadful news, but so glad some were saved, that is a blessing.

That is so sad, those poor doggies, RIP little one and big one.

Fire is my worst nightmare where I live, over summer I am constantly on fire alert whether or not there is one in my area. I don't care about the house or my belongings, as long as the animals are safe I can deal with anything else.

yeah im the same GAG. when the black sat bush fires went through we had the guinea pigs in a box with an ice back, the dog ready to jump in the car all our belongings packed. and then we left..the ponies were in the dirt padock with the dam which was all we could do for them.
to me its the worst thing to happen losing animals in a fire...
