Yeh I understand, its unfortunate but some dogs are just not made for the ring, its anoying when you have a stunning conformation but they dont want to do it. I had a tibby who was one of the best dogs I have ever bred but she did not have the mental capacity to handly the show ring. These things happen! And some dogs just dont like the pressure, that in no way means she is a "snappy" dog toward people! Dont let anyone tell you different. ... I think I have a tendancy to whaffle. lol

Hope you have fun with agility

Sorry to hear this Clea but it sounds like you have made the right decision for you and Ruby. If they're not enjoying it then you won't either and it's just not worth it.

to you and Ruby and good luck for the desexing. Hey, at least you won't have the 'messy' stuff to deal with every 6 months or so.

Aww, it's always sad when that happens
Sounds like she will enjoy being a couch potato at home more than being shown though
    Good luck with the training!

    ooh obedience/agility

There is a gorgeous staffy that does both at / through our club. She's very clever and enthusiastic about the whole agility thing. I missed her doing obedience comp but I would expect she'd be brilliant at that too. Will do anything for her "Mum".

aww Dorte.... i so sorry to hear that Princess Ruby is not liking the show scene etc. I know you & our beloved breed well & trust your choices that you are doing the right thing & getting Ruby de-sexed.

Show or no show Ruby is still the same gorgeous girl as always

Oh Cleas, I just saw this. I'm sorry for you because it seemed you really liked the show circuit.

Some dogs are born for the show ring, they love being there, they just flourish. Other dogs hate it. They will fight and snap all the way. Problem is, I don't blame them. I am unfortunately biased and cynical about the show-ring, but am REALLY happy and excited to hear you looking at putting the dogs into agility.

Let's see what Ruby behaves like once she's de-sexed, also, shall we.

All the best to you, you've done the right thing exactly, IMO.
