At first glance she doesn't look thin in the photos, but I've just had another look, maybe I'm wrong but if you look carefully in the second photo, you can see her hip bones slightly. And she looks like she has a fairly thick coat, which can hide a lot.

Well she is microchipped as a husky but mmmmm smallest husky I have ever seen. She is currently just under 14kg up from a shocking 8.2kg when she was rescued about 6 weeks ago. You may have missed them but there are some pictures of her when she was first rescued in this thread

To give you a comparison. Jenna is approx the same height as Mya but weighs nearly 20 kgs, and she is very lean herself. I think it is when you look down on Mya from above you can appreciate how thin she is and you can feel her hip bones quite obviously. Having said that her carer has done a fantastic job while she had her, she is soooo much better than she was. I'm thinking she needs to gain another 2-3 kg just to cover up her hips a bit more.

Oh Husky? Really? See I was thinking more Kelpie, possibly some Shepherd(as in GSDs Spirit)
Lady is on about 16 kilos. If her hips need to be covered then yeah, she probly does need some weight. Photos can be deceiving i guess

I can clearly see her hip bones, and unless it is her coat ruffled, I think I can actually see some ribs. But who knows, my eye-sight is crappy I think.

To gain the weight in 6 weeks TKay, the rescuer has done a great job IMO. Won't take long and she'll be looking spot-on.

Tkay, Jenna and Mya look great together! I am so happy for you. Give Mya some time to adjust and get used to everything and I am sure she will put on weight in no time. Give both girls an extra cuddle tonight
