    Welcome Pei

Oh and just as an aside....a Pei is not so different to the Bulls. Both breeds bear similar traits so its not like you're going into things blindfolded.

Choppa, there wont be any kids living here, this is when I am on my own when both my husband has passed away and Geisha PTS.
I dont like the terrier type dogs or JR's sorry to all of you who have them, no offence meant.
Hyancinth, I do like Blue Heelers, but walking for 2 hours, bloody hell love I couldnt walk 2 blocks unless I really had to.
DA -- I adore Mastiffs, have the room for one but again I think my age is against me, love De Bourdeaux's, had thought of adopting a greyhound, but I guess I still am swinging back to a Staffy bitch, preferably brindle, but I know you cant buya dog on colour alone. Actually I am glad that i have some time to decide. All comments and suggestions I will certainly listen to.
I think a staffy would be ideal! They can have a lot of energy (ball throwing in back yard is always good for exercise), or just laze around enjoying your company. Really good with the barking to alert you to when someone is around. Train well to being indoor dogs and just have a great personality! See if someone close by to you has one and spend a bit of time with them. See if they seem like the right dog for you!

Is the picture your Staffy??? Looks so sweet with the towel.
I'll make some inquiries to see who has one in my town I did see an advert in the local supermarket but I'm not ready quite yet, plus they were puppies, and the price didnt seem quite right to me, $350, sounds like a BYB doesnt it?

Blue heelers dont need that much exercise.. We walk Boss when we are at home for 30mins or 45mins a day. If we are at my MIL, I throw a tennis to him flat out for 30mins. But he does play with his ball by himself when he is bored.

LOL....i thought that was something our dog did....we have a lot of stairs and she carries the ball to the top, drops the ball then chases it....she will do this until she is exhausted or we take the ball away.

Yes that is Ralph my Staffy. He has the wet towel on to keep him cool. He has a tracheostomy due to having a cancerous tumour in his nose and I can't let him get too hot. His days are numbered, but while he is happy and not experiencing any bad pain (occassional headache), he is living the life of riley!
He is such a beautiful boy. He is 10 1/4 years old.
He was a freebie, we were given him to be a companion dog for my German Shepherd. He was only 5 weeks old and his mum had gone off her milk.
Not sure if you are after purebreed or not, but $350 is cheap and maybe a BYB.

$350 is too cheap and almost 100 percent sure to be a BYB'er.
