    I had a whippet with a collar run away, as they tend to do, and she got stuck in a fence for two days before the farmer, who just happend to be inspecting that bit of fence, found her and called me, if he hadnt been there she would have died Hence no collars on my animals.

    I wish I didn't have to put a collar on our dog, but she is known for being an escapee, and used to love running away

    She hasn't ran away in a few months now, but I still leave a collar on her "just to be safe"

    And with the info on it, I have her name and our mobile number, I am paranoid about my address being on there too

    Yeah Cath, I think with a dog that has been known to escape, a collar with tags or some form of identification is a must.
