All this talk has got me wanting to make sure Poppy is desexed at 6 months and that we have the $$$ for it when the time comes.

I just got a quote from my vet for $215. Is it worth 'shopping around' or better to go with the vet you and your dog know?

Stick with the vet you know. Cheaper does NOT always equal better.

Amy, I would never change vets for a price difference, not unless for some reason you were unhappy with your current vet.

Once you find a vet that you like, who is great with Poppy and communicates well with you, stick with them.
