It depends how set you both are on your pick I spose. You really have to have a name you can live with but really I have hated some of the names my dogs came with but they did grow on me after a while lol

My OH was a cat person when we got Madeline so he was happy with what ever name I chose.
By the time we got Griffen he had converted to dog person and it took a while to decide on one we both liked. We both made a list then slowly worked to a name we both agreed on.

If oh had his way Griffen would have been called Balzac

My dogs names are Boof (had it when we bought him), Shift and Jazzmin. When i found Shift i took her home and put her in a cage then raced back to work, when i came home our flatmate said if you dont want to keep her then ill keep her and her name is Shift. He isnt known for his pet ownership abilities so i kept her, and fell in love with her, Shift seems to suit her. When we bought Jazzmin as a puppy we bought her to grow up with my son, his name starts with J so we looked for a J name, and my partner picked it because all out dogs had one sylabel (sp?) but I add the "min" part on the end.

I hope you find a dogs name you both like

I dont mind it when I just say it normally but when we got Griffen I tried calling him in the yard using Balzac and it was just embarrasing.

You had a Jace, Mouse? I got the name off the credits of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air DVD season we have been watching lol

I like Griffen. I have a friend who's last name is Griffen and I call him Griff all the time...I bet if the pups name was Griffin, he would be called Griff most of the time lol

I also thought of Coby, but that's my partners brothers name, spelt Koebi

Generally we all contribute a few names to a list and then choose the one that fits the dog when they arrive.

Or try looking back thru her pedigree papers and see if there is a name or adaptation of a name that fits.

All I can suggest is keep saying names out loud until you can both agree on one.
