How did you get him out of the habit? Jerry is doing this and it's driving me crazy! (yes, he's neutered.)

I have a foster who is doing this - it is driving me mental. He is desexed and came from a pound. Any tips on how to reduce if not stop it? The vet says he is about 8, but I and a few other 'doggy' people think he is only 4. Don't know if age makes a difference.

Everytime Sumo did it...squirt with water bottle and kicked outside. I think with an ingrown behaviour...it is pretty difficult though

I prefer boys not to lift their legs! Walks are so much nicer without having to stop at every single tree, post and anything else sticking out of the ground having to be thoroughly inspected, inspected some more and peed on before the walk can continue.

Also it means that the cars are safe
