    Default Off Leash Dog Parks.

Heck, just dog parks will do!

Having a major problem finding anywhere to go with Inca.

One beach we go to, but not regularly as the road to is seriously in bad repair.
Another beach is no dogs allowed at all until after 8pm at night. Not a time I want to be going for a stroll with Inca and the family. That is usually bathtime etc, so just doesn't work out for us. Besides walking the streets there is nowhere I can find to take her.

Have just found out Launceston has an off-leash fully fenced dog park. I am considering contacting the local council concerning this lack of dog exercising areas.

Does anyone have information about them. Example, what are the legalities with these dog parks? Are they always fenced? They must have taps, water etc?
Any thoughts ppl can give me to add to my application, would be most appreciated.

It might depend on what state you are in but I think even if it is not a legal requirment I would state that fencing and water are a necesity if nothing else. At the dog parks I frequent when I travel they have green "doggie poop" bins. They have a supply of baggies with a request that people clean up after themselves. The even have a picture that shows you how to pick up the poop!!! lol In Orange they accually have agility equipment in their off leash area, it gives the people something to keep themselves entertained lol
It might help your case if you approach you local dog club for ideas and backing before you hand your idea over to council.
If I can think of anything else I will let you know
    Good Luck!

Breeding, Showing, Training and general crazy making!!!
If you seek understanding listen to the music, not the song.

LOL.. Orange has come along way, i thought it was still stuck in the dark days (where dogs are only used as working machines & not as pets) just like every other NSW farming country town..

Do you mean every working farm today or back then? Not every working farm uses their dogs as working machines.

If you meant back then, sorry for the confusion.

The dog park we go to has poop bins and lots of signs telling us we have to pick up after our pets. There's no water, but it is better than a lot of other ones I've seen.

The only thing they all seem to have in common is the poop bins..Never mind anything else.

You come from Parks and your lol'ing at Orange??? O.o
Look, I love the fact that I dont live in the city sprall. I live in a place where dogs are not only well loved pets but accually work too. There is a high level of training that goes into working dogs that I respect! I live on a property, so my dogs have a huge space to run around. Its great I get the best of both world here and as a trainer Im in heaven!

Ah that makes more sense ...
The lack of career and educational options is the only thing that really buggs me about this place but I am a trainer so in that respect Im quite happy lol If I lived closer I couldnt breed and train like I do :P
