Unhappy Cesar Millan's "Daddy" Passes Away.

I have been reading on the net that Cesar Millan's Daddy the APBT has passed away. The 16 year old APBT has been such an amazing ambassador for the breed. A terrible loss.

In Memoriam: Daddy the Pit Bull

Cesar Millan, all his family and friends, his staff and volunteers, and dog lovers all around the world today will mourn the passing of one of the most loyal, trusting, well-balanced, and influential pit bull ambassadors the world has ever known. Daddy, Cesar’s longtime friend and partner in canine rehabilitation, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday the 19th of February. He was sixteen years old.

I was sitting here crying about it when the phone rang, I had to explain to the lady who was looking for a rescue why I couldnt speak for a few mins....

I watched a show yesterday where a man who had been scared of dogs his whole life, was petting Daddy and he was doing the '"oh I love this scratch" growl... it was so much like my dogs.... needless to say the man ended up with his own dog....

A truly special dog.... RIP Daddy....

I am sure that Daddy helped many people overcome their fear of the APBT in particular and see the dog for the wonderful breed they are.

He had a wonderful life and a huge following of fans, he will be terribly missed by many.

Love Cesar... love Daddy even more. On countless shows I have seen Daddy help rehabilitate the dogs, and most importantly, human. He has made a great impact. RIP
