I can't imagine what it must be like to have your heart set on a dog and anticipating her arrival only to be let down like that.

Sadly the other way around happens as well. Last week, I had an enquiry for one of my foster dogs, the people filled in the questionnaire with lots of information as their first contact. Two phone calls from me (leaving my number each time as voice mail wasn't given as an option) and two text messages from me asking them to call me ......... nil, nothing, nada, zilch!

There seems to be a chronic absence of plain and simple courtesy throughout society.

And in the meantime like I said...Dora missed out on a good home with people who love the breed and understand them...who have 2 already...with me here all day and with Steve who wanted to help her!
I wouldnt hold your breath on that one. You would be amazed at the lies and bull**** that comes from some people, sadly not many people find out the truth.

Will be interesting to see their reply on DOL

I am honestly amazed and disgusted by the 'carer's' (and I do use that word loosely for the moment) actions. This is getting ridiculous, two of our most respected members contacting two rescues only to have one basically lied to and the other treated very badly and lied to again.

I am so glad that you'll be working with Amanda Cleas and I'm sure your perfect little rescue Staffy will come along into your life soon. I know there's one out there somewhere who needs you!

What is with these rescue groups at the moment? I'm a firm advocate of rescue, but I can understand why people won't want to rescue dogs when they are lied to and told that dogs are something they are not.

    Grrrrrrrrr.....

Good luck Cleas, I'm guessing Miss Dora just wasn't meant to be

I created a thread not long ago about some rescuers developing a God complex. It is sickening.
IF that is what has happened her, the saddest part is they themselves feel no shame. All was going exceedingly well with the carer (vet) before that. Just too coincidental IMHO.

Ohhh penny has dropped here too. What a horrid woman to go and ruin a re-homing like that because of her own personal vendetta.

Just read it at the link to DOL.

Not good. This is defamation of character, as you know Cleas.

Anne, your posts are worthy of great praise in that thread on DOL.
