    I'm a blue person,love the colour actually.
As long as the dog wearing the colour is as close to standard as possible then why should I not want a blue?

    hmm

Must plead guilty here, I prefer blue heelers over the red ones and the black and tan (sort of) colours. And I got one. But it was a fluke. I actually went out to AWL to look at a Red Heeler.

My fondness for blueys comes from knowing a few when I was a small kid and also as I grew up, ie long time preference. But I like the reds and the black and tan ones too. And I also like white bull terriers - for the same reason. And black kelpie x - though I find them a bit of a PITA at times. Same with Aussie Terrier - we had one when I was a teenager and she was not very well behaved - mostly our fault though. Some dogs you know from little and love and some you know from little and hate for me that would be the cocker spaniel - I knew a particularily obnoxious one when I was a kid, and I also dislike slobbery dogs - for purely practical reasons.

Stainless Steel is very trendy right now - and a nice blue staffy would fit right in with that. Also Blue would go with gun metal grey (for the gangstas and dog fighting sorts). Sigh. I'm making that up, I've got no clue what they like.

But wasn't Hector, Tweety Pie's friend and Sylvester the Cat's foe - a blue bull breed dog? Very much like a SBT in shape and stance - though his face was something else. So that would make for a whole lot of subconsious positive doggy associations.

I love blue dogs, wei's, great danes, grey's, amstaff, etc there are heaps of breeds that have blue which is its own colour. What I don't like is when breeders only breed for that particular colour ignoring all other factors except colour, the result is often dogs that don't conform to the standard, or worse have health issues due to bad breeding...

As far as as people asking for specific colours I think like this (and my breeding has always been only black dogs) if it's not what they want and they have a good reason for it I leave it alone and wish them luck in their search, but if they have no valid reason for a specific colour I would ask them to take a look at the pups anyway then make a decision...

Would like to add that Blue Staffordshire Bull Terriers sell for anything from $1200 to $3000 averaging around $2000 where as any other colour stafford average price is $900... that alone is the reason I'm against breeding for blue staffords..

I love the people who want a specific colour, a specific sex and want it ready on a certain day....

If I'm paying over $1000 for a pet then I want something I am 100% happy with. When I
finally am able to buy myself a well bred, papered Bully you bet I'm getting the colour I want. It's not about matching the furniture for me, it's about my experience with White Bullies and their skin problems which have been so very expensive to treat. I also want a
Bully thats appealing to me and that just happens to be a coloured one, not brindle,
    not white or red.

Someone who would rather wait for a certain colour is no less a good dog owner than someone who will take any colour.
