    Hi JTDNTB

Tah for that, are you thinking of getting it done for Bailey?

I would think about getting it done for Frosty. Then again right now there's no need, the ranger thinks she's blue heeler x and likes her.

PS $145 cost - ouch. I'm sure I saw one somewhere for $75. Will have to wait until I really need it but anyone with Amstaff x or pitbull might want to think about it.

You would want to think very carefully before going down that road... if your dog proves to have any of the banned breeds in him at all, you could be hanging a noose around his neck before time... atm they can only guess as to an unknown dog's ancestry... with BSL breathing down our necks it could be dangerous imo..

I'd have thought if you don't like the results, shred them. Although I'm not sure if patient confidentiality applies to Vet clients or not.

If the council uses DNA test - I would imagine since there are so few genuine pit bulls in Australia, the chance of anybody's dog being one (or a cross of one) would be tiny. If they were doing the test because your dog had just bitten another dog, you'd have other problems to worry about anyway.

When you DNA test you sign a wavier that the results can be used to further research... I'm not sure that you can test without your tests being available to anyone who chooses to do research.. Not sure that i've explained that properly...
