Default What Breed is My Puppy?

    Hi,

We recently purchased one of these puppies as an American Staffy with no papers, however now we're having doubts if she is in fact an Amstaff.

Any advice on what breed/cross breed these puppies look like is much appreciated??

Did you see the parents of the pups? Because the pups aren't papered, in all honesty your pup could have anything in it.

I don't think they look pure Amstaff. Your the second person
this week who has a dog and is unsure of breed.

    Hi &

IMO the puppies look Amstaff cross in the 2nd pic. In the 1st pic i see Kelpie in 3 of the pups face markings.

Face marking are incorrect for two tone Kelpie & not one of them has a prick ear or two??

Mastiff X's throw that type of face markings when crossed with other breeds. The only reason I say that is my god sons friends pig hunt with dogs with similar face markings and claim they have Mastiff in them. I've also seen Shepherd XXX's with those face markings.

I am not very familiar with Bull breeds, but I do know Kelpies.

They look a bit ridge back x to me.

Whatever you do when you register your puppy with council or microchip - do not put Amstaff x - because that equates to pitbull with most councils. As does amstaff with no papers and then you have BSL woes.

Get your Vet's best guess (do not suggest anything) and then put bitsa or whatever breed (cross) is not on the BSL where you live when you get her registered and microchipped. That way if you do have council problems - you have your vet's best guess to back you up.

I think they look like there is ridgeback in them, I do also see kelpie too. Hmmm difficult. They don't really look like Amstaff's though. The black puppy has a Amstaff face, but that is the only resemblence I can find.

Hi & welcome by the way
