I'm up for an award, but I haven't decided if I'm going yet. I don't really do dress ups!

Yeah, but if you went, you'd take some awesome photographs I reckon ... if you were allowed to. Not sure of the "protocol" for people taking their own "happy snaps" versus an official photographer.

Julie rang me today and asked if I am going. I seriously don't know...this move is HUGE and I seem to be collecting dogs like undies atm, so will have to see if I can get away. Sue&Crew/Peipod is insisting I come up, and I guess given the Novatel is so close to Kingsford Smith, I will certainly make the effort.

BTW Anne....I was happy as a pig in mud when I was nominated as Rescuer of the Year, but now I have been bumped up to Master Rescuer I have you, Tam and Steph as competition lol Its an honour to be nominated though, listening to Julie today even had this tough ol' chook wiping her eyes!!

Bunch of nepotistic backslapping - a creation of DOL intended to make their members look superior to non- members. I certainly don't judge someOnes ability by whether they are nominated or not in any category. Isn't one of the most prominant rescue / buns a former winner? You're an ace rescuer amanda, we don't need a shiny award to know that. If you win, great - if not you're certainly the best rescuer I've dealt with in the last few years.
