Both of ours. If I took Boss to the vet and got him desexed without my knowing OH, He would leave me. Before you bag out my OH understand where im coming from. He is a mans man.

Ziggy just likes to mouth our cat's head. The cat usually doesn't get too annoyed, just gets a disgusted look on his face.
Boss does that to Chewy too.

Good Lord, no-one could 'bag' you out for that. Boss is his dog, nobody has a right to do that other than with his say-so. Nothing to do with being a man's man, Peta. To do otherwise is disrespectful, amongst other things. I would think ppl here would comprehend that totally!

Look, it might not be sexual. Could be a dominance thing while he's 'playing' with Chewy.

my ex had a thing about keeping his dog complete, but we eventually compromised and we got him a set of fake balls, i bought them from the states for about $40 and the vet installed them when the deed was done, the dog was far easier to live with after that!!! pity i never got my ex a set!!!!

Thanks DA. Peta, I would never bag anyone out for anything like that. I was thinking that if Boss was your dog then you could take him to get him desexed.

My hubby is a mans man as well. Problem for him is when it comes to the animals I put my foot down. I will not have any animal, male or female, remaining undesexed in this house. I have to live with the animals when hubby is away, I feed, train, bath and clean up after them, therefore I decide what happens with them. It's quite funny, the only area in our life that I do put my foot down is with the animals The way I see it if I am caring for the animals, I will do the best for them as well as make my life easier while I am living with them.

I made this very clear to hubby before we got Batty though.

There is nothing wrong with being a man's man IMO, providing it doesn't risk the longevity of another animal or persons life.

The risk of prostate cancer is too high for me to be comfortable leaving Batty entire to begin with, plus there are the benefits like higher focus on me, not as easily distracted while training, no risk of him escaping and mating with some other random bitch and having to deal with an irate neighbour with an unwanted litter of puppies etc. But that is my opinion, others have very different opinions.
