    Default Looking for owner!!!

    Hi,

On my way home last night (10/02/2010) from work at around 23:30 I stopped on Northern Rd, Orchard Hills, about 300m north from the M4 turn-off towards Penrith as there was a big animal laying on the double lines. As it turned out it was a dog and he was still alive. I quickly called my local vet's after hours emergency number. He is currently being looked after. So, if you are the owner of, or know the owner of, a:

9-year old Brindle, male Staffy wearing a collar (pattern with some pinks and blues I think), please contact me via e-mail. I can let you know whom to call to check whether it is your pooch. He is currently in a serious condition but in excellent hands.

Thank you for stopping to help this poor dog. Is he microchipped?

I'd also inform the local pounds (Hawesbury, Blacktown and Renbury) that you have taken the dog to the vets, just in case they've had the dog's owner calling them.

I think the vets have already done that. The dog's registration chip was linked to someone in Yagoona who had no knowledge of the dog. The nurses enquired via Penrith Council and they have a name, whom they have been trying to call. So perhaps they got through to them. I am so heartbroken to have seen the dog suffer. It was really sad. I don't really want to say the injuries at this point in time. I think he was hit not that long before I got there. But he was in a lot of pain. I am just glad that the dog was not too big to handle alone. My back seat is all bloody and stuff but I just want him to make it. Nothing else matters.

aww big thank you for being so kind for stopping & taking the SBT to the vets.

It's so heart warming to know that their are still people out there who care for an injured animal. Your kind caring action has made me shed tears.

OMG i so hope the boy hasn't got to serious injuries & that he makes a speedy recovery.

Hoping he's owner can be found asap.

IF possible could you please keep us updated on the SBT, it will be greatly appreciated

Good on you for stopping. A lot of people would have ignored it.
