DA, its ridiculous! Im not allowed to get a boxer because they 'look ugly with long tails',
im not allowed a irish wolfhound because' I dont like the wiry hair', a Irish setter because 'one redhead in the house is enough'(shes a redhead going grey),
Im not allowed to even think about getting a husky because ' their eyes arent normal'!!!
    its hopeless.

I don't think I have ever had, nor do I have a favourite breed. It was always the dog itself, how we felt about each other. I had an adored blue heeler for 14 years then 6 months later fell in love on sight with Pretty. I really don't know if part of that was breed related or not. I now have 3 heelers, lol.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

my sister has a staffy, this is her second one, and they are the most loveable gentle dogs!

never grumpy or irritated by her kids and that is an achievement in itself.

Hi Boxerini I would dare your mum is thinking of the "pit bull" as they have a very bad reputation due to pure stupidity. Yes there are reported attacks on children but due to the rather diverse breed standard a lot of people identify these dogs to be "Pit Bulls" when in fact they may not be. Then of course there is the media whom write whatever they think will get the most sales.
Do you think with the bad rep pits have they would publish a story titled "PIT BULL SAVES CHILD!" ? I highly doubt it! You see more of "ANOTHER "PET" PIT BULL ATTACKS CHILD" which of course give people the misconception that they cannot be family pets. Which is a load of rubbish! The media choose to print only the bad stories and unfortunately this beautiful misunderstood breed have to face it.

Im not going to sit here and say that pit bulls have not attacked because I would be lying to you. THEY HAVE! however.........it is purely the way they are brought up (as long as they are healthy mentally/physically).

They are such a loyal breed that purely only want to please their owner....people take advantage of this and turn them in viscious dogs for fighting or purely to be used as an extension of the ego.

Does she look like a killer to you?

    What about now?

    Now?

    Or now?

She is precious and a very good dog; as they all can be if given the chance

Your mum is wrong they were not "born killers" this is a misconception and they are not child killers either. However I would never leave Bailey alone with one of the children although I wouldnt leave them alone with a SWF either

    Boxerini..

Perhaps you should show your parents these pics of my SBT & my daughter together playing, snuggling & him watching over my daughter when she was in bed unwell, FIY Floyd doesn't leave her side when she is unwell, he just lays besides she sleeping or her giving her hugs & Stafford kisses

Does this breed of dog "my SBT" look like a child killer!!!!!!! I THINK NOT

AF, I don't think if Boxerini showed his/her parents it would make a **** load of difference. The comments Boxerini has made concerning them tells me clearly they are too far gone to be intelligently normal, or open to learning and change IMO.

Unbelievable. I feel for Boxerini dealing with opinions and attitudes such as that, I really do.
