    Default Ipswich Doggy/Puppy Play Date

Putting feelers out rather than derailing the Dog Stealing Thread

    Who's interested?
    Any suggestions for location?
Dates? I'm better on Sundays than Saturdays.

Ooh, if we can go somewhere with a decent BBQ then we can have a sausage sizzle

    I'm interested!

    I prefer weekends! Any day.

I'm very new to Ipswich so not sure on locations. There is a fenced dog park near me but I'm a little aprehensive about meeting there due to Pop's not having all her needles yet.

Apparently its ok for her to meet other adult dogs who have been vacc'd though? Is that right? I really want to make sure I am socialising her enough! She met the mechanic who came to service our car yesterday so that was another person added to her list but its still less than 10 she has met!

How many vaccinations has she had? How old is she again? Sorry memory is failing me at the moment!

    Oops! Sorry Amy!

I think for Poppy's sake it would be better to wait until at least two weeks from her next injection - purely because it will knock her immune system around a bit. Don't want her catching nasties. In saying that, speak to your vet and see what he says. Batty is fully vaccinated and I'm happy to meet up with you somewhere if you're really wanting the socialisation sooner rather than later.

    Thats ok!

I will ask my vet when she has her next vac. I'm happy to wait two week from then as she will be 11 weeks and a bit at that time and I think it will still be good to socialise her! We will only start Puppy Preschool at 13 weeks as the earlier class was booked up with bigger breeds and the vet assured me that 13 weeks was a perfect time to start with a smaller breed!
