This worries me! Its one of the reasons I can't bring myself to leave Poppy outside alone! I live in the Ipswich area too!

Um..can someone tell me how one steals a dog in the first place? I've never had a 'friendly' dog before. If someone ever tried to steal mine, they'd probably be mortally wounded, or at the least, seriously injured.

So, these dogs that are stolen, they are super friendly to strangers are they?

At this stage Poppy loves everyone! And as far as I have read thats a good thing! But who knows what she will be like when she is older!

I know my family pet, a corgi, is the most lovable thing but barks at strangers so maybe even dogs with beautiful temps still are wary of strangers?

well...Staffies tend to "invite" everybody in...not very good guard dogs...they ae easy to steal, because they wouldn't mind if some came to pat them while they are in the backyard!

From what I know, the dogs that are targeted are the ones that will willingly eat food thrown over the fence but aren't too friendly. Sometimes you'll get the odd druggie out for a quick pet for their kids. Batty is in his crate when we aren't home, it's too dangerous otherwise.

We should organise a meet for us near Ipswich, anyone else interested?
