Is there a linky to a written report? I can't watch videos on dial-up, and would like to know the details since 1. it's a good report on a stafford and 2. it's a good news story after all the awful stories we've been hearing about.

Reminds me for my cousin's dog at xmas a couple of years ago. We are sitting down outside at my aunty's house, stella (the dog) started going nuts around the corner at something... Someone went and look and it was 3m snake!!! the boys killed it.. about 10 mins later my another cousin rocked up with her 3 small kids..

Thanks Tkay, I just had a read, what a great example of the bravery of this wonderful breed. I also read the link to the Geelong Advertiser and people's comments - I do feel sorry for the snake, but if it was coming in MY back door I wouldn't take any chances. I'd derive no pleasure and probably feel horrible afterwards, but my dogs' lives and my life are my priority.

If it was outside and I could contain the dogs inside, then I'd call a snake catcher or hope it just went on it's way.

It's a nice change to see a good news story!! Might help non-dog people rethink their stereotypes!

I watched the video from the Geelong Advertiser... did the mum say that they gave her chocolate cake? Near the end of it?

Now go onto a reptile forum (of which I am a member) and see the responses to the exact same story xD

Actually the Staffordshire Bull Terrier story about Zena was even in our little local newspaper yesterday. Made great reading, amongst all the sad tragic stories.
Mind you, it could have been a tragedy if Zena wasn't there IMO.
