    Default Favourite Funny Moment

What's your favourite funny moment of dogs past and present?

For cappy it has to be the day he jumped off a 6 ft wall and rolled down to my feet. I had some friends with me at the time and they both panicked and burst into tears. Cappy stood up, shook himself off and came over to me - he simply did not want to be parted from me. I knew he was fine because he had been trained in agility and had jumped that height before - not on purpose but I knew he would be fine. So I gave him a cuddle and we kept on going. I found their reaction hysterical.

Then there was the time he was stalking the ducks so intently he didnt see the pond edge and walked straight in. He stood there, elbow deep in water looking perplexed. I was laughing so hard it took me a while to get there to "save" him.

For Flash it was the day he literally took the door off its hinges to say hello to Max whom he had never met. He was so excited to see new people lol. That and him rolling on his back making chewbacca noises.

Billie was never a goofy dog in her time here - she was quiet - though loud when ppl came and just a shadow. I did find her cleverness funny. If tried to lock her inside she knew exactly how to get to where I was and always beat me to it.

Sandy's triumph came through her teeth when she put them into an ex who stood on her -she was a good judge of character andhated him from day 1.

Rufus - the first time I saw him sleep on his bag - all legs in the air, head on one side.

    What about your dogs?

My two funniest (?) moments and most memorable are with two consecutive Shepherds.

Huge ruckus in the early hours of the morning, and running outside in my jami's there was Kelsey front paws up on the fence, rest of her body in our yard, and her teeth firmly locked into a bloke's arse. he was pissed, and had been up to no good and had jumped the fence into my yard. Kelsey decided not to let him out. Fellow lived down the road from me and had been causing me a bit of trouble, shall we say, so his brothers came and got him and no more was said. He never bothered me again though, but the memory of him howling with Kelseys teeth in his arse was just effing hilarious!

Second time was with Kingdom. He was approx 12 months old. He was playing on the landing in the sunroom in a two-story house, while my son (3 at the time) was riding his new tricycle down on the front path. This yobbo walked by and pushed my son out of his way, rather rudely. I saw, and ran out to confront the man. Unfortunately, he then proceeded to poke his finger at my chest and start on at me. Big smash, we looked up and there was Kingdom 'flying' through the air towards us from the second story. The man piss-bolted down the street, while I laughed myself silly. Stopped laughing when reality sunk in - 1) He could have killed himself, yet had not one scratch. 2) It was a rental and I had to go and tell the Real Estate. Oh dear.

Barack - the dog before Cappy - did something similar. When I was 15 or so I took him past the school when I had taken a day off. Some of the kids started to have a go at me and one said - lets see it he will protect you. Stupid bitch swung her school bag at me and he went for her. Teacher saw him lunge and told me off for having him at all. He was a good dog

My dogs always have me laughing, unfortunately I've a rubbish memory so I can't think of specific incidents. One I do remember, cause I took photos, was the day when Chopper was bored and he decided to make a flip-flop into a toy. For about half an hour he was running around the house and jumping on my OH, sticking it in his face trying to get him to play. It was GOLD!

He can be a real a-hole sometimes!

I remeber the first night we had bella, i was playing with her squeaky toy, with the cat, and it was from the breeders place. this little fluffy dog, with a pink diamonte collar trotted over to me, growling a little tiger cub growl, promptly took the toy off the cat, took it over to the couch, hopped on, lay down on her back with the toy still firmly in her jaws, and dropped off to sleep. She was having a dream, and she was lying on her back with her feet wiggling in the air. Funniest thing i ever saw.

Frosty is a great thong thief, and I have to pretend it's not funny. The last really good effort was at the oval where a kid who had a puppy who shouldn't have been there (vaccinations not yet done), and the family had been dropping trash of various sorts and not picking up. So clearly a whole family rather obnoxious and NFI.

Boy leaves his thongs in the middle of the oval, Frosty nicks one and proceeds to run around to see who she can get to chase her for it. Boy obliges and Frosty has a great time playing "Chase me". Eventually he gets a bit tired and Frosty sits down and proceeds to chew the thong. Not a lot left of it when she was done. I didn't do much to stop her because - I couldn't tell from the trail of crap these guys were leaving behind them - what was trash and what was important... They were pretty forgiving about it but they don't leave their thongs lying around on the oval anymore.

Best laugh I got was when we were at my Uncle's place, and he's got a nice big dam and it was a hot day, and my cousins were playing fetch by chucking a tennis ball (Frosty's actually) in the dam and encouraging Airedale and kelpie to go fetch. And Frosty went in after them, and while the Airedale and Kelpie were jostling for who gets the ball, Frosty swum up behind, grabbed it and fetched it without them noticing.

Yesterday Bella had gone rummaging in a bin she and the cat had knocked over, found a lolly wrapper, and slunk off. I caught her walking off with it and pointed at the floor. she dropped it, and i told her she was allowed to lick it clean. she started licking it and it gradually started moving off with the motion of her tongue, and once she was a meter away she quietly picked it up and tried to walk off it again. I took it off her and put it on the ground to see what she did, and she looked at me, picked it up, looked at me pointing to the ground, and dropped it. did this three times until she picked it up and bolted off with it, furtively glancing over her shoulder every few steps. I walked up t her once she had stopped, took it off her and shook my head. you shouldve seen her face!!

Batty trying to beat me indoors, took a flying leap at the glass sliding door and *bang* about half a metre up the door! He shook his head and has followed me through that door ever since, or checks to make sure it's open first
