    Default Oh Bandit!

I was talking about the pups last night with hubby. Had had a few drinks (hahaha finally able to) and was a little emotional.
I told Hubby I was so happy That Jessie would be his father's working dog, that I had never been attached to River as I never considered him mine but I would howl my eyes out when it came time to hand Bandit over to the rescue when a good home was found for him. Then I said oh well, I know it has to be done but I am not looking forward to it at all and would he do it when the time came please.

    He said no
    .
I said a dejected ok then, I will and got up to make a cuppa
    .
As I was getting up he said I will not take him as he will not be going. I think he belongs with you too and anything that helps you fight I want for you and another pup is nothing. We have had 3 dogs before.

My husband is not renowned for showing great care and or emotion. Even he had a watery eye as he smiled at me. I had two watery ones that were spilling over, lol.

Magnificent Di. Love is all around you, what better armour to fight with than that!

So you have Pretty Girl, Jodi and now Bandit. Woohoo.

Yes. I have all three. all three have different things they give me.
Yesterday Pretty was inside, the pups happily in the shady pen in their pool, the men were manoeuvring a new fridge inside from the back of the ute.
After they were done and having a coffee, Pretty just sauntered in and nonchalantly fully climbed into my lap like a puppy and just stared at my FIL. He said oh wow, she will be good for you. Jodi likes to play with her toys on the floor beside me, is not a huge snuggler. But so very very gentle and so amusing. Bandit is a snuggler, goes all limp, sighs and groans when he is held and scratched and stroked..

Gakkk, he was fine last night. This morning an eye was inflamed, now it is closed, eye looked opaque too. Currently thinking how to work vet around the Dr appointment. I don't wish him to be out the back of vet's during my Doc appointment (they mind them for out of towners) as he is not yet vaccinated and Hubby will not stay in the shade to mind him as he wants to be with me.

Hmmm, making some calls to see who can come with us or meet us in there.

I will miss the movie..that doesn't matter, will see it on DVD. I have a young man who will look after Bandit at his flat just while I am at the Docs. He said "oh good, I have some Devon I can give him, lol. Will ring vet 8.30 to see if they will see me out of usual morning consulting hours, pull the cancer card, lol.
