just out of complete ignorance, but how do puppies/dogs get eye ulcers like that and is it something that just happens or can it be prevented if you know what to do? Is it just an scary name for a bad infection caused by a bit of dirt in the wrong place?

And so glad it will get better.

Hy, it is anybody's guess in this one, one of 3 cats may have swiped him as the pups tend to bail them up on the veranda and bark till they swipe out, possibly wire from the pen in some way, grass seed, puppy claw in play...toss a coin.

He spent the night in the puppy Hilton Laundry..even had a stinky bone he wanted brought in at last pee outside last night. (pups are in pen when he is out, out when he is inside) He whinged a bit so we gave him a night light. He spent a good night, I only heard him whinge about 4 times and to my surprise there he held bladder and bowels from 11pm till 7am! He has only ever been inside for a half hour max each time before this and has pee'd the carpet then. He has had his chicken wing brekky and we are about to do meds. The worst thing about this is I am up early lmao.

    Note to all!

Gloating (about length of wee retainment) will be punished by the powers of Murphy's law.

I was typing the above post Bandit Poo'd.

On the carpet, behind me, lol. (my fault posting before I took him out after eating)

I am pleased to announce that his WELL OPENED bowels are operating VERY well post op.

(yes I cleaned it up before editing)

I can smell it from here.

Frosty, I'm fairly sure, managed to sneak out a big crap on the oval when I wasn't looking. Anyway there was this giant crap where there wasn't one on the previous lap, and it looked the same as hers usually do. I picked it up. I would have picked it up anyway because it was definitely where I would walk.

She had stinky farts yesterday. She had some unusual food the day before, in particular a dried beef tendon chew and then later - half a rawhide bone - I don't like her to eat quite so much of one of those in one go - one minute there was lots and next minute half had disappeared - so I suspect she didn't do the best job of chewing that up.

Another "blue glue" dog only after 24hrs. lol
So lovely, so satisfying, so friggin hopeless to reinforce house training when the other 3 are out of the pen.
Am going to let them out after Bandit has emptied his guts in the morning, put them back in when they usually go comatose under the house mid morning, let them back out when they show some animation about 3 30pm then back in on dark or a bit before.

Darling Pretty has found them a stinking, drying new born calf's head. oooo you should see them at that, lol. Delightful. I am so pleased the others do not come inside at the moment. Pretty still does but she has not rolled in it....yet.
