Your ex? OH has no idea what a good deal he's on. I think I'd change the locks and train Bailey to growl at him if I was you. You're a big softie.

He's got no right to tell you what to do if he doesn't give you any say in what he does. He's treating you like times when the wife was the property of her husband, just like his dog. And he could mistreat them both.

Why should he have everything he wants and you only get what he lets you have?

When men behave like that and their partners do nothing about it, it makes me very glad I'm single.

It sounds like you have been offered a once in lifetime opportunity. If you think you'd enjoy the experience, grab it and run! I have been showing for many years, but had a break from the ring for a few years when my son was young, a decision which, looking back, I now regret. I missed out on so many good times because at the time I thought I was doing the right thing by not being "selfish" and spending time with my child. I mostly go to shows by myself, or my mum will come for the day out, and meet up with friends and have a great time. My OH doesn't often come with me, but understands that this is my hobby and is supportive of what I do.

Although we don't know all of your circumstances, I think if you REALLY want to do this and have the chance, go for it.

    Good luck!

Lol. No offence Judge, and I AM being humourous - but - I'd probably be a 'cow' if I was married to your ex if he treated me like he does you.

No I didn't mean your OH's ex. I meant your OH should be your ex by now. Your ex partner. Your OH's ex partner, I'm not sure he doesn't deserve or made her into "the cow" she is now. She obviously doesn't allow any of his crap or his control freak behaviour. Cows are actually quite polite though.

I'm so sympathetic (not). I guess you have your reasons for doing what you're doing and I'm not going to understand them (my lack of empathy). You're not the only one on the forum with a spouse I think is worthy of ditching for your better life but it's your choice and I will try not to give you a hard time about it any more (unless you want me to). It's probably not what you need right now.

Please tell us something you like about him.

In previous posts I was trying to be nice, sort of neutral, not offensive, you know.

But after reading the post about him taking a job without discussion - well girl you just go and do what you bloody want because he sure as hell is.
