Default All Breeds Dog Show - Gawler, South Australia

Ok people I know not everyone is from S.A but thought I would post it on here for people who are in S.A. and who might be interested....I certainly am lol.

    All Dog Breeds Show
Karbeethan Reserve, Angle Vale Rd. Evanston Gardens
    January 23rd. Starts at 7pm
    Entry is FREE

600 purebreds from the states leading breeders to attend. Dogs will be judged in 7 categories according to breed. Best in show title also up for grabs.
Breeder will be in attendance from 5pm.

Breeders will be there to promote their breeds to the general public and to discuss whether or not a particular dog will suit their needs.

    For more info call 08 8524 4588
(not sure if Im allowed to post the number but it was with the advertisement in the news paper so thought it be ok)

I personally think it is a fantastic idea....one of three that have been planned for 2010 by the Gawler Kennel Club.

Both me and my mum are going to have a look around as she is an older shower and since I have been a member here I have certainly become more intrigued by showing.

    Tah JTDNTB

It's a long way for me to go, and leave Frosty at home, I guess. But I'll think about it. I'd like to see one a bit more central though. I don't read the newspaper much. Too much brain shrinking fluff in there.

Sounds like you've been bitten by the bug. Look out once it gets it's teeth into you it may take years to shake it free.

I have found NOT to take thing too serious in the show ring. It is supposed to be fun for you AND the dog.

If Ruby for whatever reason doesn't want to do things that day...then so be it...there will be other days where she is happy to show off

Have fun...smile...relax and your dog will relax and laugh in the inside at all the nasty comments circulating

I agree with this wholeheartedly, the first time I walked into the ring I was thirteen and nervous as hell. I had a beautiful boy on the end of the lead (who went on to do really well), he took out a class of 4 and I heard the snide comments people were making. I walked away had a cry and basically grew a thick skin. It's great fun and you meet some great people, but gee there are some nutters out there too! LOL!
