Default Which Commands Do You Use?

We don't have too many commands yet. But I'm interested to know what everyone uses for different things.

    So far we have:

    'Sit' - sit (obviously)

'Down' - lay down (which I'm now wondering if it's too late to change to 'drop' so I can use 'down' for if he jumps up?)

'Come' - when we're at home and I call him or when we're out on walks and he's had a few seconds of sniffing and I want him to carry on walking.

'Stop' - I've begun saying this when we get to roads whether there are cars coming or not.

'Go' - when it's safe to cross.

    Sit = sit

    Drop = drop/lay down

Stand = to stand and stay in that position

    Here/Come = Recall

Heel = Heel & Return to Heel (formal recall)

Free = end of exercise (release command)

    Down = to get down

Off = to get off something

Up = jump up on me or up on something

Over = to go over something.

In = to go in something eg. IN your kennel, IN your crate

Jump = to jump into the pool

Give = to give me what she has in her mouth

And then all the ones she has for her tricks

I wont go through everything I use - just what Rufus knows - cause otherwise I will be here for ever lol

    Sit
    Stand
    Drop
All of these from beside, in front and working on getting them at a distance
    heel
close - which is walk near me but not at heel
over there/that way - go where I point
    Stop
    give
    Kiss
Find the pussy - seriously - he helps me collect the kittens by finding where they are hiding
and I am teaching touch with a target stick atm

ive beena bit lazy with him though - so much more he could know

Here's a list of Keeda's commands that I can remember which we use frequently:

    Sit
    Down
    Heel
    Stay
    Wait
    Come
    Catch
    Over
"Say Hi", or "Hi", or "Bye" (they all do the same thing)
    Get/Bring your ball
    Get/Bring your stick
    Get/Bring your toy
    Find a stick (any stick)
    Fetch
    Stand (on hind legs)
    Jump
    Look
    "Bring it here"
    "Go get it" (after "Wait")
    Drop it
    Leave it
    In/Out/Up/Off
Can't reach (so she brings the toy or item closer so I can get it)
"Gentle" (when she's around the cockatiel or being too rough during play)
    Stay Close
    Quiet/Shh
    Left (when on bike)
    Right (when on bike)
    Faster
    Slower

We don't do a lot of commands, she is not the brightest dog and was always easily confused. but the ones she does, she does really well!!

    And I forgot
gentle - aka ease off buddy, they're cats not chew toys
    and
manners - which I have inadvertantly taught him and I use when he meets new dogs and it just means go in quietly not like a battering ram

    Sit
    Down
Belly (roll onto her back and show us her belly)
    Wherestheball
    Drop
    Come

We are training her for a few others but she hasn't got them yet.

Mostly we just say her name in different tones and she works out what we want.
