Default Dog Pheromone Collars & Plug Ins

Has anyone used a DAP Collar or plug in & if so do they really work? Or a "Good Behaviour Collar". I have just moved house and one of my dogs who is already on Prozac is not coping at all. She was a very traumatised dog when I got her and it has taken years of training & reassurance to make her live some sort of normal life but this move has thrown her off the deep end & I am at a loss as to what to do. Any idea's would be great.

I know there is a spray out there of this pheremone but I didn't know there was a collar.

I used the plug-in for my Rottweiler and I think it helped him a bit. It is always worth a try.

It is important to try and normalise her day again immediately and get her routines back on track...eg same bed...familiar smells as much as it is possible etc.

    Good luck

No I've only seen feedback reports which were mixed.

I have seen the plug-in in a grooming salon once but for all I know it could of been empty.

    Hi,

Its a bit different but I use the feliway diffuser for my indoor kitties and it has really worked well. I found it especially helpful for my black cat salem who gets anxious if I go away all day and I now come home to a vomit free, less frazzled kitty.

I think the plug in would def be worth a try! I hope puppy settles soon!

Yep. Used the plug in with excellent results for Mishka who was badly grieving the death of Zena. She had "doggie Valium" as well. She was pretty bad. Just lay in a bed, staring at the wall. I wasn't prepared to lose 2 dogs within a short space of time. I'd highly recommend it based on my experience. Having said that, I assume what works for one dog, may not work for another. I "on gifted" the plug in unit as it's so expensive to a friend last year who was in the same situation as me. From all reports, her 2 remaining dogs really picked up after she got the oil & used the unit.

    Default Thanks everyone

It seems quarantine won't allow the collar into the country (yet the plug in is fine ?!?) so I will try the plug in and see how it goes.
