Default Does Your Dog Watch Television?

I mean seriously watch it - recognise other dogs or fun animals like cats or get mesmerised by the Telly.

I noticed Frosty really STARING at the telly one time - and there was some sort of fighting and yelling with flashes, bangs and explosions and she looked quite worried - her face was all creased up around her forehead and she looked like she was about to run and hide.

I switched over to golf or cricket or something more benign.

She's also tried to get the kittens on the telly - and is quite facinated by african savannah documentaries with giraffes, elephants and more cats etc.

Have you had to change the channel because the dog seems upset by it?

And like several other dogs I've known - especially the cattle dogs, if she competes with the telly for attention and often puts herself between me and it. When she's playing tug or when she has a snooze on the floor she goes between me and the telly.

Blue watches it when there is a dog on the screen but when a human comes up she turns away as if to say 'humans....how boring'!!
Once there was a dog running across the screen & Blue ran to the side of the tv as if she was waiting for the dog to appear. It was hilarious!!

I can't watch any shows with barking as it sends my dogs off and Jethro always goes to the front window and looks confused when there is nothing there!
It is very funny! I also can't watch wild life shows as he tries to kill my tv to get to it. My cats are the worst though, I have a flat screen tv that is about 10 cm across the top and Freya always sleeps on top of it with her tail wagging across the screen so of course this makes Inka pounce on the tv even more!
The one good thing about it is that it's to annoying to watch tv so I rarely do any more!

I haven't really watched TV in front of Dora. I usually watch it while she sleeps, though rarely. The last time I've watched TV was about a week ago
I'm just too busy taking care of a pup!

Our girl pays it no attention, unless there is a dog barking or whining on it, and then she gets really out of sorts, looks terribly confused and runs to the tv putting her nose right up to it, then runs to the front door, back door etc. If it's a really 'doggy' kind of show I want to continue watching I put her outside for the duration, if not I just change the channel.

Normally we have to turn up the volume to hear it over her snoring, that's how not into tv she is lol

Nope. I don't watch TV, so neither does any dog I own.
