I didn't say it made it okay. I merely meant she's another uneducated pet owner who appeared to think she was doing the correct thing by her pet. It's a shame, but I think it's much worse when someone knows the dangers and does it anyway to save time.

Dis uneducated shmeducated.. my 8 year old girl knew what could happen to the dog.. it's common sense, it was hard enough to breath OUT of the car let alone in it.
I don't know how long she had left her dog in there for.. she came up to the car within a minute of me arriving.
The car wasn't running and the dog was large.. looked like a ridgback actually.

That's just my opinion. I know my mother didn't see an issue with Terry in the car till I explained.

EDIT: Doesn't make it less sad though

how terrible. I was watching this show a few months ago something called along the lines of "what would you do" and they left a dog in the car (but it had a portable air con hidden or something to keep teh dog cool) and waited to see what ppl would do. Most just walked by but a couple called the police after waiting by the car for a few minutes. The windows were closed and it appeared the dog was sitting in 70 degree heat.
