Well today is the day. Hubby will be dropping Troopa off at the Vet in about 10 mins. Poor pooch isn't happy that he hasn't gotten his breakfast this morning.

Clea, thanks for the suggestion. Will get some woundguard when we pick him up this arvo.

expect drop off and pick up times to be givin, expect a groggy wobbly dog when you pick up, expect your dog to sleep alot afterwards.
If you find yourself going through hell; Don't stay. Just keep on going.

Thanks guys. Felt bad for him when I was waving him off. Will be picking him up between 4-4:30pm.

Will he be ok to walk to the car afterwards or will he maybe need to be carried? All 26kg of him I may need hubby to do it lol.

Nah Megan, he should be fine. Depends what time they got to him too, but by that time of the afternoon, should be no worries.

Lots of TLC when he comes back. I agree the wait is horrible. I am usually guilty of ringing the vet later in the day to make sure all has gone well.

Lol I called them at 12:45 to see how he was doing so far. Was a bit worried he might be freaking out without hubby or me there. Vet nurse said he had been fine and had just been taken into surgery. At least it will be all over now and he'll be recovering.
Really looking forward to picking him up though as the house is far too quiet and calm and the moment.
