My mate has a dobie. He thinks he's a big fluffy teddy...I run. He growls and bares his teeth. I don't wait around to see what happens next!

One of our new members (who hasn't posted much) exhibits and breeds Dobes. Monelite - where are you?

One of my old friends had a doberman. Beautiful dog. Barked whenever someone came near the house but he was a sweetheart when you got close up.

This is fair enough...also knowing what the SBT was originally bred for...I can understand your concerns 100%. Trust me...there really are some very nice SBT's out there. You should meet my Ruby...she is calm, gentle, balanced and a big cuddlepot. You are right...they are VERY strong...a big dog in a smaller dog's body really.

The saying is...an SBT that shows ANY aggression towards humans and especially children MUST be humanly put to sleep IMMEDIATELY. The reason for this is that they were bred to be 100% dependable regarding humans and ANY aggression that way is NOT accepted. Aggression towards other dogs is another issue and it is people lack of knowledge regarding the breed when they get one...that gets the dog into trouble.

She's got a stunning brindle pittie. They are such regal creatures, I just would never own one.

    I can well imagine!

Having a rottweiler with tail is interesting too......20 coffee cups on the floor later. They don't just wag their tail...they wag their whole body too
