If you don't watch them carefully they will eat their own instead!

My advice will a bit unorthadox, but hey, I've seen it work!

Try and put Charlie away (as inside house or crate or whatever) when Bell is ready to do her faeces. once she has done it, pour either tabasco sause over it, or sprinkle it very liberally with pepper.
    Then let Charlie out.

May work for Charlie, may not, but worth a try.
    Ok, time for an update:

Have put gotten hubby to distract Charlie each time Bella's done a poo last night & today. Then I've poured pepper all over it. So far, success!!! He ate the first one last night (I don't think I used enough pepper) but he certainly didn't... enjoy it as he usually does. The others today he's gone up to, sniffed and walked away! Woo hoo!! Will definately keep this up! Thanks DA

Well done, Charlie and Bella's mum. Dogs usually hate pepper, as they do tabasco sauce. Pepper can also be used and sprinkled on areas where you DON'T want a pup/dog to urinate etc outside.

I'm so glad it is turning your dog off the habit! Must keep it up through. Drown the turds in it if need be! Must be done long enough to TOTALLY break the habit.
So happy for you, well done!

Thank you Yes we will definately keep it up - after all, the best way to teach a dog something is consistancy, consistancy, consistancy!! It'll be a bit hard come Monday when hubby and I both go back to work, but I don't think Bell really "goes" during the day - only wees (of course, Charlie probably been eating it if she has been so we wouldn't know!)

ROFL. Let's hope not. If so, maybe this will slow him down though and give him 2nd thoughts.
