Would like to say I'm taking Dexter in to meet the owner of our local no kill shelter tomorrow.

So the little Chi is in your possession now right?

I was just wondering...do you have anything that proves the dog is yours and it was handed over to you from his owners? The reason I am asking is...if the shelter finds a microchip...they'll probably contact the owner eg your ex-friend. Also...I am concerned for you and Chi when you get to the shelter and tell the story. They have heard sooooo many stories when people dump their dogs and I just didn't want you to get upset or feel uncomfortable if they question you...thats all.

I think it is a great thing you are doing

Thanks Clea! No the owner knows me well, in a rural area everyone knows everyone. Besides my mother and her went to school together, so she knows it's not me.

Naturally, no chip, no vaccs and not even desexed. Even if I wanted to take care of the little bugger (sorry-I don't) I can't afford the time and effort it will take.

But what of the little foster Chihuahua you have in your care? You said it came from an abusive situation and had lost a leg or something, was blind, and was scared of everything. A dog like that takes massive amounts of time to rehabilitate.

I don't mean to assume that you should take on someone else's problem but I find it curious that you said you don't have the time or the effort for this one but you do for a severly damaged, over bred and abused puppy farm dog???

I posted about that awhile ago.

Lucky little Miracle got her forever home. They didn't think I was suitable but you can find that vent somewhere around here.

Anne did you read my PM? It's really bothering me a lot.

    * EDITED TO ADD: Sorry should've been more precise. Some really experienced rescuer took her in. They decided that she wasn't fit for adoption, and they were right I really couldn't take care of her/. What I've said above with the eye rolling is frustration at them for personal issues-I shouldn't blame it on Miracle because it's not her fault.

Disney, I wouldn't fret. I wouldn't take on a dog dumped on me either.

If someone dumped a dog on me - especially if it wasn't a breed of my interest I simply would not make the time for it - call it selfish or whatever but the kind of people who take anything and everything in end up as collectors. You need to pick and choose and work with your heart and your mind together.

I know. I feel awful but I really wish I could give Dexter back. I don't like him. I'll get mum to contact that organization tomorrow. Thanks!
