This is the post from Kassie:

RAAF base edinborough have a doggie hydro pool for ther working dog to keep them in tip top thay got people at front gate you have to be part of the base but you can get your vet to send them a letter say you are lode on base for that the vet i know 3 years in the AAFC i was a LCDT OF 406SQN

Anyone have an idea about what that code means?
This means she was in the Australian Air Force Cadets and she was a Leading Cadet of 406 SQN. The AAFC will have her details, her parents details, her phone numbers of family in case of emergency etc. Send me a PM if you need more info regarding this.

BTW: This information is bulldust. Yes they do have brilliant facilities, BUT those facilities are definitely not available for use by the public because you have a letter from the vet.... That would be a ridiculous breach of security and safety for the base and I can tell you now if you tried it you would be laughed right out of there!

LCDT apparently stands for Leading Cadet.....perhaps her family are military?? but I would think if that was the case they would be given quarters

LOL, I see I am a bit slow this evening.....I will try to keep up with the party!!!!
LOL I'm a bit slow too, but to be a Cadet it is a simple thing to sign up, most schools can put you in contact with the Cadet program. There are Army, Navy and Air Force Cadets.

There is no need for any member to have been or currently be a military member, although it is common.

We have kids who are cadets - they are bright, disciplined and forward thinking. Does that fit here?

I am hoping that was a rhetorical question Occy as the answer is so painfully obvious even some as astute as Kassie could answer that.
