I would be starting to really grin. If those were not his owners then the chances of them coming out of the woodwork now, especially this time of year and the time you say he had been seen hanging around Hubby's work are pretty slim.
I wouldn't be holding my breath just yet but definitely starting to inhale.

still no other claims for 'our' little dog, altho i do not see him listed on the Found dogs page on the Home's website, which i do not understand. I'm not complaining about that tho! about to write an email to the nice woman i have been dealing with there, to ask about him again.

When is the waiting period up, Zen?

I'm getting tingles, and that is good news! Yeah yeah, I know, don't get your hopes up and all, but I really feel Nelson is coming home soon.

How long? *can tell I have no patience, huh?*

Only an owner that cares will be looking on found websites.
Am taking a bit more breath in to hold.

depends on who i talk to as to the waiting period, one said 7 days, the other said 14, one said Boxing Day then the neutering and wait again. .sigh.

    we just wait.

i sigh every time i see his food out there with the other pet supplies we have for cats. i look in every supermarket etc for a small Nelson sized ball, and touch all the toys in case there is one that does not squeak to buy for him, as he managed to de-tail and de-fluff the cat's mice. much to our dismay, his and ours, as he made that mouth in distress noise! he did let us get that stuff out of his mouth tho.. very trusting i thought. us for sticking our fingers in his mouth, and him for letting us! lol..

i keep on forgetting to tick the box, and end up lurking not logged in! lollll

7 days is the minimum time before a dog that is not chipped and remains unclaimed can be sold or otherwsie disposed. If the dog is chipped, 14 days is the minimum.

As Nelson was unchipped, they only have to wait 7.
