For many years I've had bitches of different breeds. I was told years ago that dogs of any breed were harder to train, control and were more aggressive.

Then 7 years ago I got my GSD boy and I know now what I was told all those years ago was a load of crap. As he's a big sook and very gentle.

I also have another GSD and Rottie, both are bitches and my GSD girl is the boss. All mine are desexed of cause and now either sex is not a problem.

I know in GSD's dogs take longer to mature, but other than that I don't see any differences IMO and dog, bitch combo is the way to go.

    Hey there DA

I've only ever had 1 male, a female in the past and 2 females now.

The girls have always been more affectionate, more loyal, more relaxed and more obedient.
Don't get me wrong my boy was a great dog too. All the above I listed are traits I've seen in my dogs and most of these are probably because of the dogs individual temperaments, their past, breed, etc, etc.
The only thing I prefer about females is that they're fun to walk. Don't have to stop every few steps.
