you are correct myf however they could also do that with my male whom is a Staffy X Bully.

I know many people whom have dogs that fall into the 22 point category!

Pit Bulls are un-registered Amstaffs. (I think!)

So what has your vet said your dogs are, breedwise, Judge?

Exactly. They can and will. Doesn't mean you take less precautions because 'everyone else' has bully breeds.

JTBNTD, just so you realise(cause I feel you have been ganged up on a little) we are trying to help you, your dog and all other breeds under the BSL. So don't take it the wrong way

My vet is adamant that NEITHER Bailey or Mully is a 'pit bull type dog'. I have been told by many however that Mully is a Pit Bull X Am Staff therefore making Bailey a Pit Bull X. Please keep in mind that Mully was pregnant when I got her so I really don't know what Bailey is crossed with.

On the opposite side though I have also had people tell me that Bailey is pure Pit Bull and Mully is just a 'bitza' (obviously without knowing they are mother and daughter)

Does any of that make sense?

Hang on. Let me get my head around this. Mully is Bailey's mum -yes? Therefore, Bailey can not be purebred 'anything' if Mully is a cross bred.

Secondly - do me a favour and STOP listening to unsolicited advice about what breeds your dogs 'look' like from people who are self-confessed experts.

The issue with your dogs is that they may be classified as Pit Bull x. It doesn't matter if Joe next door thinks they are Rottweilers, it is what the authorities classify them as.

Have you ever had them breed assessed? Have you ever spoken with someone from the many anti-BSL lobby groups who has provided advice as to their calssification?

If they are assessed and registered as a breed that is not restricted then it desn't matter a hoot what anyone else thinks and says.

He thinks they are Am staffs X Staffs - or Pure Am staffs that are just slim??
I dont think he knows to be honest!

Myf you are right they are classed as Pit Bulls when they are X breeds.

They are not registered as Restricted Breed because (first dogs I owned) when I went to the council to register I took the vaccination certs with me and they just went by them.....Which says Am Staff X.

The council never said ANYTHING to me about them being a restricted breed.

    IM CONFUSED!!!!
