    My neighbour has two BC's. One came from a breeder back when they lived in Qld. The male he got off ebay last year for $50. The male is possibly the most beautiful BC I've ever set eeyes on, and temperament wise he's so brilliant they have offered to loan him to me on the weekends until my puppy arrives. Hubby is putting a gate up between the fences now as I type.

    Oops, off-topic again and rambling. Sorry. He's just sooooo gorgeous!

    They look like crossbreeds Myf because they are!

    Why do people want these dogs deliberately bred. Do they honestly think they can gaurantee traits, or is it because of a particular look they are searching for?

    I want to comment on this. As a holder of a Dogs NSW breeders prefix...we can not sell our puppies to a pet shop! If a registered breeder did so...it would have to be unregistered pups just like any other BYB. Then in my eyes...that breeder is no longer a "registered" breeder per se...they breed pups...don't register them and sell them that way...if you get my

    Instead of sending letters to pollies about pet shops, why aren't we sending letters to pollies about bybs and puppy farms?
    Well, this is what I was saying - every aspect needs to be addressed IMO. Thing is, who is going to organise/pay for ads??

    Here is a site that might be of interest;
    Electrocuting Dogs at Prisoners For Profit

    I sent off several emails protesting about the electric fence as I feel this is another way of drawing attention and letting the Vic gov know we will not lay down and die.

    THIS is the problem. The breeders are the problem. The source of these animals are the problem.

    Contrary to popualr belief, the great majority of pet shop owners are not nasty ogres. Most of them are became involved in the business due to a link and a fondness of animals.

    Lots of ppl, Loren. And he was looking through eBay one night searching for a watch he said, and he clicked on pets, and there was the little darling. I guess the seller couldn't be bothered placing an ad in the paper, the twit. Neighbour said she was a twit, actually. Lol.

    Educate the masses. Seriously how are people going to learn about puppy farms without actively researching it? You can't act on what you don't know exists!! It's soooo frustrating
