I thought making it big/small, bold/italic/underlined would make it easier to read and look less like a block of writing.

I don't know your circumstances, but I am yet to come across an acceptable mistake litter.

mmmm....perhaps I should leave answering until I'm in a better mood.....

Myf honey , you are being very ...erm....judgmental with a very black and white outlook. There are grey area's as much as you might not like to think about it .

As I previously said, it can happen to the best registered breeders. Some circumstances can be honestly described as 'oops' litters.
A plate glass window changed my mind on this matter

Its irresponsible to let your un-nuetered dog or cat 'wander' around, able to become pregant/get others pregnant.
If your gonna have an un-spayed/un-nuetered dog or cat, you have to do everything you can to make sure that animal does not produce any accidents.

    *sigh*

There goes that black and white brush again Myf......

    ok,hold on...lets try this way.

Having an undesexed dog does not make a person irrisponsible.
How they manage that dog though then can be construed as responsible or not.
Someone who takes every care to ensure an oops litter does not happen , still need to deal with circumstances beyond their control, such as plate glass windows and a very determined dog.

I have been away today and have only just caught up on this thread.
Myf, with a hug, about page 5 said that I was also one of the irresponsible.

Also giving hugs back to her I wish to ask how? She was not my dog, lived on another property, FIL due to illness did not spot the second half of her first season. He responsibly had her come over here for segregation for the first part.

I TOOK OVER when it was obvious she was pregnant, vet said too late to abort.

She was going to have a litter. She needed good care, pups needed good care, yet I am responsible when She wasn't even mine or here? Or yes here a few times a week as a visitor? No male dogs here.

What was I supposed to do, have her shot? Kill all the pups?

Walk a mile in my shoes as they say.

    An optimist sees the glass as half full;
A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.

To me that is like someone having a neighbour, their dog spends time at your place, there is an oopps litter over at her place and then you take over care and they are happy for you to do so, yet some people on a forum tell you that it is your fault. All you did was try and make the best of a bad situation.
