    Default Sad Story.

We heard a sad story at training this am. We have an elderly man who comes to training with his brindle Staffy called TigerLilly. He rescued her when she was 8 years old and they were devoted to each other. Sadly, yesterday, she was eating a rib bone when some caught in her throat. He was on his own and couldn't dislodge it so he raced off to the vet. Unfortunately she died shortly before he got there. Such devasting news as she was a delight at training. Thought she was the boss and had real attitude, but everyone loved her. I feel so sorry for Bill as he loved that girl and she was his constant companion...
    Run Free TigerLilly.......

omg that's so sad, big hugs to Bill

    RIP gorgeous angel Tiger Lilly

Please pass this poem onto Bill from me.

    I Loved You Best

So this is where we part, my Friend,
And you'll run on, around the bend.
Gone from sight, but not from mind,
New pleasures there you'll surely find.

I will go on, I'll find the strength,
    Life measures quality, not length.
One long embrace before you leave,
Share one last look, before I grieve.

There are others, that much is true,
But they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
Will remember well all you've taught.

Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
The fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
Take this with you…I loved you best.

That is really beautiful Aussie F.....made me cry. I'll make a copy and put it in a small frame for Bill. Thank you so much.
Cleasanta, your Ruby was so lucky after what she went through.

    I know...if I hadn't been home...she would have died

I had to get in and pull it out of her throat...it was really stuck there. She tried to swallow it when Sumo wanted to take it off her...sigh
