    Default Bsl?????

    Hi guys,

    We all know how we feel about BSL!!

    Ive been trying to do some research about it - specifically the regulations in South Australia.

    I am really having trouble!!!! ARGHHHHHHHH!!!! all thats coming up is articles related to BSL eg dog attacks etc.

    If anyone has any articles that show the "specific regulations" for BSL in South Australia can they please post the links?

    Thanks Guys

    Choppa will be able to advise you. She is pretty experienced in the ins and outs of all things BSL as I understand it.

    The EDBA site should be of help too. Have a look here;
    Endangered Dog Breeds Association of Australia

    Maybe SA hasn't covered it under legislation? I note that a few states are missing. There are also no promotional flyers created by the EDBA for those states.

    There is a SA link for email on the site;
    saust@edba.org.au

    Perhaps email with your query?

    Sorry, I meant two things.

    1 - that SA may not have enacted any legislation banning specific breeds in such a way. There are several links on that page that are non-existent for several states.

    2 - that the EDBA have created flyers to highlight the issues of BSL and the flyers are created differently for each state. There is no flyer for SA and a couple of other states - the same states that did not have a link as per above.

    South Australia July 1, 2004 Restriction The dogo Argentino; fila Brasiliero; Japanese tosa; American pit bull terrier (or pit bull terrier); and Perro de Presa Canario (or Presa Canario) are considered "prescribed breeds." Owners of prescribed breeds:
    must muzzle their dogs and ensure they are under effective control by means of physical restraint
    must spay/neuter their dogs
    may not sell or give away their dog, or advertise to sell or give away their dog .

    Site still in construction so will post link when it's finished.
