She mated with a family friend's pure bred JRT. We did not have them for financial purposes, though we did sell them privately.
If it wasn't for the money...then why was she bred with? Was it so ensure hers or his magnificent linage? Oh no...of course not...she is not registered! What POSSIBLE reason other than money could you have had to breed from her?

We didn't HAVE to breed her, we WANTED too.
Now you tell me, who doesn't want a litter of new born puppies?

Lol, I used to have heaps of videos of him, and whenever I would visit my Nanna I would sit in the lounge room watching them over and over.

I DON'T if I can't be sure they will be HEALTHY...SOUND IN TEMPERAMENT etc etc...THAT is what responsible breeding is all about! I have an entire 6 month old staffy bitch. She is a show dog and on main register. She will ONLY be bred with IF she comes within the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Standard...if she is healthy...if she shows the CORRECT temperament and is performing in the show ring. She comes from a good line of dogs and some we would be happy to continue in our breeding lines. She will NOT be bred with until she is AT LEAST 3 years old and fully matured. The Sire for her will be investigated immensely to be sure he is healthy and hold all the correct traits for a Stafford and we will be quite happy to pay for his service on her!

Having puppy because "you wanted to" and because they are oh so cute...I can't say what I mean without swearing!!!!

We've already established that I was, like most people, unaware of backyard breeding. I know it's wrong now. You can't change what happened. You need to step down from that pedastool.

It has nothing to do with being on a pedestal mate! I hope you have learnt a few things and sincerely hope you go through with the desexing. It will be better for your bitch too!

    End of story for me!

Well obviously I have learnt a few things, I've said numerous times that she's booked in.

WOW - I have them on ignore and they're still rabbiting on about me. I feel spesh. BYBs will support BYBs I guess. I am suddenly reminded of a quote I placed in another thread which related to internet arguments. I would like to thank me for reminding me

kristoffa - perhaps there is hope for you, perhaps not - but until that dog is desexed there is NONE for her future. You know this so it is 100% your responsibility to make sure she is desexed. Why? Because you know better now - I hope!

I don't - too much to worry about - will the bitch survive? Will the pups be healthy? Will they all go to good homes? Will they end up in a puppy mill?

    Pehaps that is just me

    I don't, but I have.
I have spent all my life avoiding just that! Yes they are cute but so much time effort and money has to go into it. My concern too was me being an hour away from a vet and one got stuck, that she would develop mastitis, eclampsia.

Why would anyone want to put themselves through this unless of course it was just go pass by, say ohhhh aren't they cute and leave her to it. Your life is not your own till they are weaned fully.

So, I put my hand up.
